‘MIDNIGHT’ is my newest & most recent directing & editing work. Filmed in April 2026, this film is an experimental short. It follows our model, Rui, within a dark, illuminated living room environment. The purpose of this film was to showcase my abilities in shooting something fashion-based that was more filmic and stylistic. This body of work speaks wonders as to what my style of filmmaking is, with darker aesthetics and an intentional vision that is prevalent in the presentation, wardrobe, and set design. I collaborated with filmmakers from my university for this film as well, which was a great experience for myself and others.

TRINKETS — SPEC-AD
'TRINKETS’ is a spec-ad that I directed in January 2026. Partnering with jewelry business ‘Lunarithy’, this film interweaves pieces of jewelry with a retro-office aesthetic. At the time of shooting this, it was the largest and most complex set that I had ever had the pleasure of leading, which taught me immensely going forward. I scored and sound designed this short myself, therefore it is one of my favorite pieces of work.

This was the first ever project I directed on my own. The YZY x GAP collection is one of my favorite clothing lines ever made, and I wanted to test my abilities and see if I could emulate the aesthetics of the unreleased advertisements for the brand. It was the first passion project I ever led and funded, culminating in the first real piece of work I would be very proud of.

This project served as a final class-project at CSULB. The project was open-ended, but had to incorporate VFX in some capacity. I looked back to my earliest pieces of filmmaking of work, being music videos for my own music, as inspiration. With this, I went back to my roots and created a concept for a song I never released — ‘LONG AS I NEED’. Utilizing CSULB’s 360-degree theater, I created the backgrounds in After Effects, mixing stock footage and my own basic animation, and projected them onto the walls. Two peers of mine were open to shoot, and they generously gave us some time to make the video happen. My team & I shot this in an hour, and the final result looks great for the context of it’s creation.

FOR DITCH LA, I WAS FORTUNATELY BROUGHT ON TO DOCUMENT THEIR AUGUST 2025 POPUP. THE FOOTAGE WAS FILMED IN DOCUMENTARY STYLE, WITH VO’S, INTERVIEWS, & A LOOK INSIDE THE FILMING FOR THE POPUP’S PROMOTIONAL VIDEO. THE EDIT FOR THIS WAS FUN, AS I ENJOY EDITING DOCUMENTARY FOOTAGE.
